About the Company

Associates Consulting Limited is recruiting on behalf of their client — a fast-growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream, and downstream oil and gas group. The client has interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production, and power.

Job Summary

Job Title: Logistics Officer (3 Openings)
Locations: Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Imo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Civil Supervisor
As a Logistics Officer, you will be assigned to safely, timely, and economically prepare and support logistics activities for the pipeline project.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project team to ensure orders are fulfilled for site and local distribution.
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and arrange required vehicle support on site.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse and other stakeholders, Supervisors, and Engineers.
  • Manage inventory planning and control processes.
  • Generate monthly reports on import costs, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Determine key logistics KPIs, evaluate and report on them, and suggest ways to cut costs and boost efficiency in the supply chain.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions promptly.
  • Guide employees on supply chain processes.
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to manage costs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Find alternative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage and resolve issues such as delivery delays or accidents.
  • Ensure local supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
  • Issue loading authority to customer drivers only after proper request and approval.
  • Ensure all requests and drivers are attended to on time.
  • Prepare daily closing reports and monthly reports.
  • Implement approved HSE policies and procedures.
  • Comply strictly with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Basic understanding of logistics operations and practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and NAVISION logistics software.
  • Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Performance-driven and result-oriented.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Good public speaking skills.
