This Animator & Video Editor remote job requires a creative, detail-oriented professional who can translate ideas and scripts into engaging animated videos.

Moreover, the candidate can transform ideas, scripts, and concepts into engaging animated videos.

Additionally, the role involves designing, animating, and editing high-quality video content for Virtual Nation and its brands.

Turning scripts and creative briefs into polished videos optimized for multiple platforms is required. All work should be visually compelling, on-brand, and built to drive engagement. The position emphasizes collaboration with designers, writers, and producers. Experience with animation software and editing tools is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates applying for this Animator and Video Editor remote job will be expected to:

• Design and produce motion graphics, animated typography, and visual effects
• Edit raw footage into polished videos with transitions, sound, music, and effects
• Translate scripts, concepts, and creative briefs into engaging animated content
• Maintain a consistent animation style and visual identity across all brand content
• Adapt and optimize videos for multiple platforms and formats, including social, web, and ads
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Organize project files and maintain proper version control
• Revise content accurately based on feedback
• Stay current with animation, motion design, and video editing trends

• Engagement on published content: likes, comments, and shares
• Traffic driven by video content
• Deadline adherence across projects
• Revision efficiency, with feedback implemented accurately in minimal cycles
• Brand consistency across all outputs

What Success Looks Like

• At 90 days: Producing consistent, on-brand video content, meeting deadlines, with an editing style fully aligned with Virtual Nation’s visual identity
• At 1 year: Videos become a recognizable part of Virtual Nation’s brand presence, consistently driving engagement and traffic, with minimal need for revisions

Skills & Competencies Required

Must-have:

• 5+ years of overall professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in a similar animator/video editor role
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, easing, and motion flow
• Solid grasp of graphic design fundamentals such as color, typography, and composition
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant animation and video editing work
• Strong attention to detail and file/asset management skills

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with 2D and 3D animation techniques
• Familiarity with short-form video trends and social media formats
• Experience working with a marketing, media, or creative agency
