• Conduct routine checks of towing lines, export hoses, and mooring hawsers during loading
• Assist the export tanker’s Master while awaiting cargo documentation
• Sign only for receipt of the letter of protest and statement of facts (not authorized to sign cargo documents or ullage reports)
• Manage the export hose toolbox and tanker rail hose accessories
• Maintain strong familiarity with the Permit to Work (PTW) system

Professional Qualifications Required

• Certification as an Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on ships of 500 gross tonnage or more, with at least 12 months of approved seagoing service in that capacity
• Solid understanding of COLREGs, along with working knowledge of SBM (Single Buoy Mooring) and tandem mooring operations
• Strong command of bridge management principles and ECDIS systems

Certificates and Training

• Chief Mate Certificate, STCW95 – Regulation II/2, with flag state endorsement of recognition
• Completion of education and training meeting the standard of competence outlined in Section A-II/2 of the STCW Code for Masters and Chief Mates on ships of 3,000 gross tonnage or more
• Additional certificates as specified in the Company Training Matrix, Unit Specific Training Matrix, and CBT Matrix
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
