What Is This Job About?

As a Clinical Service Provider, you will deliver reproductive health services. You will work at an assigned Clinic of Excellence. You must follow clinic policies. You must follow all applicable laws.

You will give therapeutic care to patients. You will help keep the clinic safe. You will support the development of nursing care.

You need strong attention to detail. You need excellent communication skills. You need good interaction skills with clients. These skills help you document patient information correctly.

You need at least 3 years of experience. This experience must be in a midwifery role, post-graduation. This experience helps you work independently. It helps you manage clinical supplies well. It helps you prioritize your daily tasks.

Job Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Give high-quality clinical services at your assigned clinic.
  • Follow all Marie Stopes Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Follow state, federal, and local laws.
  • Treat patients, visitors, and co-workers with respect.
  • Show courtesy and compassion at all times.
  • Join Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building activities.

Clinical Duties

  • Meet the clinic’s service standards.
  • Provide patient care based on the care code set by the physician.
  • Support the development of nursing care in the clinic.
  • Counsel patients before they receive any service.
  • Assist physicians and other staff during exams and treatments.
  • Watch for signs and symptoms in patients. Report unusual findings quickly. Start emergency procedures if needed.
  • Manage and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Record patient symptoms and treatments in medical files.
  • Give patients their prescribed drugs. Explain how to use them.
  • Keep the clinic clean. Check that equipment works properly.
  • Sterilize clinic instruments every day.
  • Supervise the IPO. Make sure infection prevention rules are followed.
  • Help track and manage clinic stock and records.

Communication and Admin Duties

  • Document all communication with health partners.
  • Follow up on client complaints. Suggest solutions.
  • Use MSI’s information systems for service delivery and training.
  • Support interviews on clinical matters. Protect MSI’s reputation.
  • Collect data on services provided in the field.
  • Manage MSI resources and property at the clinic.
  • Give technical advice during marketing activities.

Requirements

You need the following to apply:

  • A current NMCN license.
  • A BCLS certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a midwifery role, after graduation.
  • Experience in an established healthcare system.
  • Experience in sexual, reproductive, or maternal health (this is an advantage).
  • A clinical certification in midwifery.
  • Proven ability to work with little supervision.
  • Excellent skills in interacting with clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Nigeria’s health delivery system.
