Description

Zenith Carex International is recruiting an IT Operations Officer to ensure the smooth daily running of its technology infrastructure, endpoint hardware, and office systems in Lagos. The role combines general technical support with operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Network Continuity and ISP Management

• Monitor office network infrastructure to keep connectivity reliable and highly available
• Act as the main contact for ISPs and telecoms vendors: resolve outages, track SLAs, and coordinate scheduled maintenance
• Perform basic network troubleshooting on switches, routers, access points, and local IP assignments

Physical Security and CCTV

• Oversee the daily status of CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and monitoring feeds
• Audit recording integrity, video retention compliance, and camera coverage
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, camera repositioning, and upgrades

Audiovisual and Facility Technology

• Maintain conference room technology, including projectors, displays, video conferencing, audio systems, and HDMI and wireless casting
• Run daily pre-meeting checks so equipment is ready for executive and cross-team meetings

Hardware Maintenance and Asset Support

• Manage network printers, multifunction scanners, and other peripherals
• Resolve hardware and connectivity issues promptly
• Maintain vendor relationships for print management, toner and consumables, and equipment servicing

HR Collaboration and Onboarding

• Work with HR to align IT provisioning with recruitment schedules
• Configure and assign laptops, user accounts, software access, and permissions to new hires before their start date
• Track IT asset inventory and device allocation through onboarding, transfers, and offboarding

Requirements

• 2–4 years’ hands-on experience in IT operations, help desk support, or technical systems administration
• Windows and macOS configuration, troubleshooting, and hardware setup
• Basic networking: LAN/WAN fundamentals, IP configuration, and Wi-Fi management
• CCTV setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting, including NVR/DVR systems
• Setup and troubleshooting of HDMI, wireless casting, projectors, and Zoom/Microsoft Teams devices
• Administration of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Active Directory
• Strong vendor coordination, relationship management, and negotiation skills
• Proactive mindset: able to anticipate and prevent issues before they cause downtime
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across HR, Administration, and external providers
