Description

As a Control Field Specialist, you will lead technical direction and safe-site operations. This covers onsite installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup of Turbo Machinery and Process Equipment.

Core Job Functions for This Control Field Specialist Role

• Control Panel Commissioning: Carry out control panel commissioning, logic modifications, loop and functional checks, panel certification, and upgrades.
• Technical Supervision: Provide technical clarification and supervision to the client on BH rotating equipment (HDGT, Aero GT, and Compressors).
• Troubleshooting & Startup Oversight: Supervise all troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup activities of BH products as related to control engineering during outages.
• Engineering Interface: Interface directly with BH Engineering on all matters relating to equipment reliability, operations, maintenance, and failure analysis.
• Field Site Coordination: Provide direction and assistance to work groups, coordinate and oversee work at the field site, and deliver quality service to the customer.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with crew members on the installation and maintenance of customer equipment at customer sites.
• Reporting & Records: Provide all required activity records to the Baker Hughes IET Supervisor while promoting good team relations.
• Equipment Overhaul & Recommendations: Oversee overhaul, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup of rotating equipment, and make recommendations based on maintenance findings.
• Compliance: Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality, and Compliance).

• Willingness to travel for work up to 70% of the time
• Strong functional/technical, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
