Job Title: Medical Officer – Health Information Management (HIM)
Location: Abuja
Grade: P4
Contractual Arrangement: Fixed-term appointment
Contract Duration: 12 months
Job Summary:
The World Health Organization (WHO) seeks a Medical Officer for Health Information Management (HIM) in Abuja to support the Health Emergencies Programme. The officer will play a key role in managing health emergencies and public health risks.
Responsibilities:
- Detect and assess public health events using surveillance platforms like EIOS.
- Analyze epidemiological data and develop training for WHO staff and partners.
- Enhance information systems for health intelligence and event management.
- Foster partnerships to promote innovative approaches to international public health.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine or Veterinary Medicine with postgraduate Epidemiology or MPH.
- At least 7 years in outbreak analysis and response, including international experience.
- Proven skills in public health, data analysis, and risk assessment.
