Job Description: Finance Advisor
- Provide world-class Finance operations support to Shell Companies in Nigeria by leveraging cutting-edge technology and top-tier technical skills.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data across supported entities, enabling the derivation of meaningful business insights.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail while also keeping a broad strategic perspective.
- Operate in various areas of Finance operations, including:
- Business Reporting and Analysis
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Expenditure
- Revenue
- Treasury
- Governance
- Risk Management
- Assurance
- Offer in-team subject matter expertise, peer guidance, and support to immediate teams and the wider Finance operations function.
Responsibilities:
- Business Finance:
- Manage Cash Management, Budget Performance Monitoring, Workplan & Budget Analysis, and Latest Estimates.
- Oversee Ledger Entries and cost allocation.
- Prepare Management Information reports and maintain SAP Cost Objects.
- Provide Requisition to Pay Finance Support.
- Review Assets under Construction and Differences in Exchange.
- Expenditure:
- Process Payroll and ensure Statutory Compliance.
- Manage Vendor Relations and Invoice Processing.
- Handle Indirect Tax & Transfer Pricing.
- Conduct Disbursement audits and manage Treasury Operations.
- Revenue:
- Compute Hydrocarbon entitlements and manage Customer Billings.
- Allocate Receipts and oversee Receivables Management.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Perform Group reporting and prepare Statutory accounts.
- Manage Financial Statement Latest Estimates.
- Handle Financial Accounting for JVs & PSCs.
- Conduct Fixed Assets accounting and Reconciliations.
- Oversee Working Capital Management and Systems Review and Improvement (SAP/BW).
- Treasury:
- Conduct Cash Forecasting and Counterparty Risk Management.
- Manage Fund Operations and Payment processing.
- Oversee Card transaction management.
- Governance & Risk Assurance:
- Ensure SOX compliance and conduct Controls Review and registration.
- Perform Disbursement Audits and Incident reporting.
- Planning, Budgeting & Management Information
- Reporting:
- Generate Management Information Reports and Dashboards.
- Maintain and standardize Reporting Templates.
- Automate reports using Macros and Visual Basic.
- Ensure Master and transaction data integrity and availability.
- Support Business Plan upload and update.
- Assist in Budget approval and cost recovery processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Professional Accounting Qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is required
- 3 to 6 years of post-graduation work experience in an accounting or finance analyst role, with a solid understanding of financial concepts and standards
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using SAP, Business Warehouse, or other ERP and Management Information systems
- Expertise in Management Information and reporting
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Experience in Treasury Management and Operations or banking
- Knowledge of Financial Accounting, Controlling, and Reporting
- Post-qualification experience in audit practice and/or assurance services
- Development of Management Information solutions using macros and Visual Basic
- Experience in ERP and Management Information systems change management
