Job Description
- Engineering Automation Technology Limited, a leading provider of engineering, construction, Instrumentation & Controls fabrication and Asset integrity solutions services in the oil & gas sector, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Procurement Officer to join our growing team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for engineering and technical projects while ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement processes for project materials, equipment, and services.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved vendors.
- Evaluate supplier quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and compliance with technical specifications.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Issue and track Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of project materials.
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
Requirements
- Must have graduated from a reputable higher institution in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field with a minimium of second class upper credit
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and vendor management.
- Experience with technical procurement and project-based purchasing.
- Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Program (NYSC)
- Ability to adhere to procedures and processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems.
- Professional certification such as CIPS is an advantage.
