Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy individual to join our finance team as an Accounting Officer / Cashier. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling financial transactions accurately, managing digital payment systems, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payments and issue receipts/invoices accurately.
  • Deliver courteous and professional customer service at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout/cashier station.
  • Manage daily cash drawer balances and generate reports.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support seamless operations.

Qualifications

  • OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with hospital billing and coding systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., FIRS).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
