Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality / Material Inspector to support our quality assurance processes by ensuring that all materials and equipment used meet the required standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspection, documentation, and compliance monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report daily inspection findings to the Quality Coordinator.
  • Ensure only approved materials are used, with proper testing and documentation.
  • Enforce adherence to ISO 9001 and internal quality control procedures.
  • Conduct routine yard and field inspections with accurate record-keeping.
  • Inspect materials and equipment for conformance to specifications, codes, and performance requirements.
  • Submit daily reports on inspection results.
  • Assist in punch list creation, equipment testing, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to resolve material-related concerns.
  • Provide guidance on material preservation to storekeepers in line with procedures.
  • Escalate discrepancies promptly to the Quality Coordinator.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality or material inspection within the construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality control practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Skilled in using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, tape measures).
  • Ability to interpret and convert measurement units accurately.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
