Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced People Operations Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the HR function across Silverbird locations, ensuring effective people management, policy implementation, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations

  • Interpret, monitor, and evaluate organizational policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Coordinate HR deliverables across Silverbird locations.
  • Facilitate recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new staff.
  • Coordinate performance management and gather payroll-related data and documentation.
  • Maintain and review HR documentation concerning employee welfare, compensation, benefits, and retention.
  • Monitor and report compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct disciplinary procedures and ensure proper documentation.
  • Manage employee relations and conduct investigations when necessary.

Employee Engagement & Development

  • Conduct staff audits and identify training or coaching needs.
  • Communicate HR policies and programs across the organization.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  • Support employee feedback mechanisms including surveys and suggestion programs.
  • Handle mentorship programs and coordinate corporate culture activities.

HR Administration

  • Register staff with HMOs and PFAs; organize pension and health-related events.
  • Manage HR-related social media accounts.
  • Monitor grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Maintain staff registers across departments (group, galleria, HR, film distribution).
  • Oversee daily activities of film distribution and related operations.

Communication & Compliance

  • Send out monthly communication emails (webinars, policy reminders, newsletters, etc.).
  • Coordinate the Corporate Affairs Committee and Culture Club.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and collaborate with the legal team as required.
  • Manage the company’s HMO scheme, including payments.

General

  • Perform other duties as may be required in line with the role and level.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution.
  • CIPM or any other relevant HR certification.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and business communication tools.
  • Good understanding of Nigerian labor laws and equity regulations.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of payroll practices and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: ₦200,000 per month
