Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Officer to join our clinical team in Port Harcourt. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care and contributing to innovations that improve healthcare delivery.
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Job Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, evidence-based primary care to patients across all age groups.
- Counsel patients on preventive health measures and general wellness.
- Develop and utilize tools that ensure consistent and standardized clinical care.
- Participate in initiatives such as wellness checks and corporate health events to enhance client experience.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Apply clinical research and guidelines to inform treatment decisions.
- Identify symptoms of various illnesses or injuries and determine appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments.
- Ensure accurate and properly formatted documentation of patient notes.
Requirements
- MBBS or MBChB qualification.
- 2–3 years of post-NYSC experience in primary care practice.
- Experience in using clinical research to support treatment plans.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on assigned shift days.
