Job Summary
The Field Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of laboratory activities related to crude oil, gas, and water production. This includes monitoring chemical treatments, conducting laboratory analyses, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory & Chemical Operations
- Supervise laboratory operations to ensure safety and accuracy in testing.
- Conduct sampling and analysis of oil, gas, and water in line with operational guidelines.
- Monitor and manage chemical injection systems to ensure correct treatment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot lab and injection equipment in coordination with the Production Chemistry team.
- Analyze and report on any unusual fluids or deposits as required.
- Prepare analysis reports for review and approval.
- Track chemical consumption and ensure adequate inventory.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of tests and treatments.
- Issue daily, weekly, and monthly reports highlighting key laboratory and chemical treatment activities.
HSE Compliance
- Adhere to company HSE policies within the lab and during chemical use.
- Report all incidents and anomalies.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all chemicals.
- Participate in firefighting drills and emergency response training.
Support Activities
- Assist with field trials and bottle tests conducted by vendors.
- Communicate treatment schedules and assist in SRB inoculation.
- Support the site and production chemistry team in resolving analytical and chemical treatment issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an oil production laboratory.
- Valid medical certification approved by the company.
Required Training
- BOSIET/FOET/HUET with CA-EBS.
- Basic firefighting training.
