Job Overview
As an Electrical Power Electrician, you will perform maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems in accordance with APM Terminals’ standards and Nigerian regulations. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational reliability, safety, and asset integrity, while contributing technical expertise within a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Execute electrical maintenance tasks in line with APMT safety standards and local laws.
- Manage electrical isolations and lockout procedures.
- Participate in safety training and assist in incident investigations.
Operational Performance
- Perform daily breakdown repairs and planned maintenance.
- Adhere to safe systems of work, especially Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
- Provide expert diagnostics and repair of electrical faults.
Strategy & Asset Integrity
- Support Equipment Managers by identifying trends in equipment failures.
- Record all maintenance tasks accurately in the CMMS.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure high equipment availability and efficiency.
Resource & Cost Management
- Recommend technical requirements for spare part procurement.
- Ensure third-party contractors meet quality and safety standards.
- Help optimise maintenance processes to reduce costs.
People & Communication
- Share technical knowledge with peers and mentor junior staff.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Academic background in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Valid local certification for electrical installation/maintenance
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial or terminal electrical maintenance
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and OEM electrical training preferred
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
- Committed to safety, quality, and detail
