We are currently recruiting for the role of Checker at our Port Harcourt facility.

Job Summary
The Checker plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient loading, unloading, and stacking of materials while maintaining company standards in inventory management, customer service, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Equipment Management
- Conduct pre-trip inspections using the forklift checklist before each shift
- Operate and maintain forklift in optimal condition
- Monitor and maintain fuel and fluid levels
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with site housekeeping standards
Inventory & Stock Management
- Apply stock rotation principles to maintain warehouse standards
- Inspect packaging for quality before loading and on the warehouse floor
- Accurately perform daily stock counts using handheld devices
- Generate and resolve inventory variance reports in SAP
- Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity
Loading & Unloading Operations
- Use load summaries to ensure correct pallet quantities are loaded
- Record shipment and return data accurately in SAP using handheld devices
- Communicate effectively with the Logistics Coordinator and team members
- Load materials onto production lines and remove finished goods as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of OND in a relevant field
- Valid forklift driver’s license
- Proven experience operating a double handler
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Computer literacy; SAP experience is an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
- Strong numerical and organizational skills
