Job Summary
The Senior Auditor will support the Head of Audit (HoA) at Citibank Nigeria, overseeing assurance activities including audits, regulatory issue validations, business monitoring, and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Cover for the Head of Audit (HoA) in governance forums & communicate audit activities
- Conduct local & international audits following Citi’s Internal Audit Methodology
- Analyze regulatory risks and tailor audit scope to compliance expectations
- Draft audit reports, present findings, and recommend corrective actions
- Deliver audits and regulatory validations on time and within budget
- Monitor emerging risks and complete regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with audit quality teams to address findings
- Adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (higher degree or certifications like ACCA, CIA, CPA, ACA, CFA, CISA, CAMS preferred)
- 15+ years post-graduation experience (10+ years in banking, 3+ years in senior management)
- Risk-based auditing, internal controls, regulatory compliance
- Experience working with international teams is a plus
- Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal & written communication
- Advanced Excel & data analysis proficiency
- Strategic thinking & risk assessment
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders & regulators
- Independent mindset with a proactive approach
