Job Title: Chemist / Senior Chemist
Location: Sokoto / Edo Plants
Employment Type: Full Time
Industry: FMCG (Cement Manufacturing)
Reporting to: Chief Chemists
Internal Relations: Production Units, Quarry, Packing Units.
Job Summary:
BUA Cement Plc seeks experienced Chemists/Senior Chemists with a strong background in cement production to oversee quality assurance at its modern cement plants in Sokoto and Edo States.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and supervise chemical and physical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS).
- Oversee the building of raw material stockpiles to control raw meal and kiln feed chemistry.
- Maintain and update all test records systematically.
- Monitor production processes and implement measures to ensure product quality aligns with NIS requirements.
Requirements
- B.Sc / B. Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry / Physics / other natural Sciences
- 8 – 10 years of hands-on experience of working in a cement plant laboratory at a managerial level.
