Job Summary
Bourbon Interoil Nigeria Limited, a leading international marine services provider, is looking for a Chief Engineer to oversee all technical operations on board, ensuring the reliable performance of vessel engines, machinery, and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Technical Supervision: Manage and supervise all technical and engineering operations on board.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper preventive and corrective maintenance of vessel machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce company policies on safety, pollution prevention, and risk management.
- Crew Management: Supervise engineering crew and delegate responsibilities as needed.
- Hot Work Supervision: Oversee or delegate supervision of high-risk work operations.
- Operational Support: Assist the Master in executing technical and engineering tasks safely.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technical Manager.
Requirements
- Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (dependent on vessel tonnage)
- STCW Certificates and Mandatories
- Chief Engineer Unlimited (A-III/2) License
- 5+ years experience on a Supply Vessel as a Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer
- Proven ability to manage vessel operations and maintenance
- English (Professional level required)
- AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel)
- Minimum level of education required: 6 – Other
