Job Details
- Position: Delivery Driver
- Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Qualification: Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)
- Experience: 3 – 6 years
Key Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver at Frutta Foods, your role extends beyond driving. You will be responsible for:
- Planning routes using maps or navigation tools and staying updated on traffic and weather conditions.
- Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicating with dispatchers, team members, and customers to ensure efficient deliveries.
- Meeting delivery deadlines and following assigned routes.
- Conducting basic vehicle checks, including refueling and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Loading and unloading delivery items securely and efficiently.
- Providing professional customer service and obtaining required signatures upon delivery.
- Completing necessary paperwork and delivery reports.
- Using additional equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, or dollies when required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver.
- A valid driving license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and best practices.
- The ability to adapt to unexpected situations, such as traffic delays or weather changes.
- A willingness to undergo background and drug checks.
- A high school diploma (SSCE) or equivalent.
