Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Professional Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services within Port Harcourt and surrounding areas for our client. The ideal candidate should have excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a thorough understanding of road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport personnel, clients, and goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle at all times.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes, considering traffic and weather conditions.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and promptly report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies while on duty.
- Maintain accurate journey logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
- Provide professional and courteous service to passengers.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect passenger privacy when necessary.
- Coordinate with the administrative team for scheduling and transport-related activities.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
Requirements
- Education: SSCE/OND or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a professional driver.
- Driver’s License: Must hold a valid Nigerian driver’s license.
- Road Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of traffic rules and regulations in Port Harcourt and neighboring areas.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Time Management: Strong ability to plan routes efficiently and adhere to schedules.
- Customer Service: Courteous and professional attitude towards passengers.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of handling tasks that require effort.
- Driving Record: Clean driving history with no record of major traffic violations or accidents.
- Age: 30 – 45 years old.
- Gender: Male.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with Port Harcourt routes and key locations.
- Ability to use GPS devices and map applications.
Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience and qualifications).
