Job Description
Tenaris Nigeria is seeking a BMG Electrical / Electronics Technician to perform advanced maintenance tasks focused on robotics, automation, artificial vision, and CNC systems. The role involves diagnostics, repairs, and support functions, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.
Location: Onne, Rivers State
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and conduct advanced electrical and electronic repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
- Monitor repairs to ensure effective and lasting outcomes.
- Perform scheduled inspections in line with maintenance plans.
- Conduct complex failure analyses, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions.
- Review and analyze emergency repair needs and equipment failures.
- Propose and implement equipment upgrades and replacements.
- Develop and apply basic PLC programs and automation software.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Ensure tools and instruments meet operational specifications.
- Develop and test preventive maintenance plans.
- Plan corrective actions for scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns based on diagnostics.
- Maintain adequate resource availability, including spare parts and system information.
- Collaborate with other departments and support cross-functional efforts.
- Operate forklifts or radio-controlled overhead cranes when required.
- Record maintenance activities and update maintenance systems
