Job Summary:
Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) is seeking a Head of Financial Control, Reporting & Analysis to lead and oversee the financial operations, analysis, and reporting for its business in the southwestern zone of Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting functions, including spend management and receivables.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of management accounts for accuracy and completeness.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial systems.
- Ensure timely initiation and completion of external audits.
- Oversee accurate recording and treatment of financial data, including payables, receivables, assets, and inventory.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and government agencies.
- Coordinate financial activities across Business Hubs and HQ in line with company policies.
- Ensure smooth implementation and operation of SAGE ERP.
- Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus.
- Membership in a professional body (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in finance, particularly in financial control and reporting.
