
The Nigerian Army, the largest branch of the Nigerian Armed Forces responsible for ground military operations, invites applications for its 89 Regular Recruits Intake (RRI) for both Trades and Non-Tradesmen & Women. Governed by the Nigerian Army Council, this recruitment drive is open to all qualified Nigerian citizens.

Location: Nationwide – All States in Nigeria
Eligibility Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth, single, and in possession of a National Identity Number (NIN) and BVN printout.
- Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, per Nigerian Army standards.
- Must have no criminal record.
- Must present a valid birth certificate (from the National Population Commission, a hospital, or local government), or a court-issued age declaration.
- A certificate of state of origin is required.
- Minimum height: 1.68m (male), 1.65m (female).
Age limit
- Non-trades: 18–22 years (as of June 30, 2025)
- Trades: Not more than 26 years (as of June 30, 2025)
Educational qualification
- Minimum of 4 passes including English Language in WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB/NBAIS (not more than 2 sittings).
- Tradesmen/women must additionally possess a Trade Test / City & Guild Certificate (more details available on the official website).
General Instructions
- No Computer-Based Test (CBT) or special center will be used.
- All screening will take place within each applicant’s state of origin.
- Do not bring phones or electronic devices to the screening venues.
- Applicants must have no tattoos or body inscriptions.
- All original educational certificates (from primary to secondary) must be presented.
- Membership in cults/fraternities/societies is strictly prohibited.
- Any form of result falsification will lead to disqualification and possible prosecution.
- Do not pay anyone for the recruitment process—it is 100% FREE.
- Shortlisted candidates will be published on the official Nigerian Army website.
- Screening will take place from June 2nd to June 16th, 2025 at respective states of origin.
- Candidates must bring their NIN slip and BVN printout.
