Egbin Power Plc is a major addition to Nigeria’s electricity industry. Recognized as the largest single generating power station in Sub-Saharan Africa, it was constructed to meet the growing electricity demand in Lagos and its surrounding areas. Following the nation’s privatization initiative, Sahara, through its power division, Sahara Power Group, and various affiliates, acquired the Egbin Power Plant with an installed capacity of 1320 MW. Our goal is to deploy a minimum of 5,000 MW of electricity generation over the next five years.
