Truconnected, a globally recognized nonprofit advancing digital inclusion and economic empowerment, is seeking an exceptional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join its executive leadership team. The CMO will lead global marketing, communications, and brand strategy to position Truconnected as a leader in digital equity and social innovation.

This senior role requires visionary leadership, strategic execution, and experience in nonprofit, technology, social impact, or international development sectors. The CMO will drive brand positioning, donor engagement, thought leadership, and marketing infrastructure to support Truconnected’s global growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

 

Global Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership

  • Develop and execute global marketing and communications strategy
  • Establish brand positioning, messaging, and standards
  • Position Truconnected as a thought leader in digital inclusion

Fundraising & Donor Engagement

  • Support fundraising, corporate partnerships, and grant acquisition
  • Create donor-facing assets (proposals, reports, campaigns)
  • Develop storytelling frameworks to translate outcomes into compelling narratives

Public Relations & Global Visibility

  • Lead PR strategy, media relations, and executive thought leadership
  • Secure media coverage, speaking engagements, and conference visibility

 

Partnership & Growth Marketing

  • Support strategic partnerships with co-branded campaigns
  • Enable business development with marketing tools and positioning

Marketing Infrastructure & Capability

 
  • Build scalable marketing systems, dashboards, and SOPs
  • Lead marketing technology strategy (CRM, digital platforms, analytics)
  • Build and lead a high-performing global marketing team

Impact Measurement & Reporting

  • Translate program outcomes into measurable impact narratives
  • Develop dashboards and reports demonstrating ROI and mission impact

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership in marketing, communications, or brand strategy
  • Proven global or multi-country marketing experience
  • Experience in nonprofit, social impact, technology, or international development sectors preferred
  • Strong brand development, storytelling, and donor communications skills
  • Executive leadership experience or equivalent senior strategic role
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 50%

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with global nonprofits, foundations, or international organisations
  • Background in technology, digital inclusion, or digital transformation
  • Experience scaling brands from growth stage to global recognition
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors
