Scholarship Title: NLNG Post Primary Scholarship Scheme (PPSS) 2025
Location: Rivers State, Nigeria
Overview of the NLNG PPSS
This initiative aims to support outstanding Basic Six pupils from NLNG host communities in Rivers State by providing access to quality secondary school education. The scholarship covers tuition and other educational needs throughout the recipient’s secondary school years.
NLNG is committed to inclusivity and encourages Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be an indigene of one of NLNG’s host communities in Rivers State
- Currently be in Basic Six and enrolled in a public primary school within the state
- Be 12 years old or younger
- Not be receiving any other scholarship, grant, or bursary
- Not be related to an NLNG staff member (child, ward, spouse, or direct relative)
Scholarship Requirements
Applicants must provide:
- First, second, and third term report cards for Basic 4, Basic 5, and Basic 6
- A birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission (NPC)
- A recent passport photograph (taken after January 2025, without glasses)
- An attestation letter signed by the head of their current school (with contact info)
- An indigene confirmation letter signed by the CDC Chairman or Community Chief
- A Local Government Area identification letter
- Must be prepared to gain provisional admission to one of NLNG’s partner schools by July 2025, such as:
- Hallel College, Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt
- ABEC Secondary School, Woji, Port Harcourt
- Christie Toby Education Centre, Iriebe
Important Dates
Application Deadline: Monday, 28th April, 2025
Selection Test: Paper-based test will be conducted at designated test centers in Port Harcourt and Bonny (Rivers State).

Additional Notes
- Incomplete applications or missing documents will lead to automatic disqualification
- All communication regarding your application status will be via email and phone
- Falsified documents will lead to disqualification and possible legal action
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to take the selection test
