Job Title: Account Personnel

Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Account Personnel (Accountant) to support the company’s financial operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and tax compliance, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
- This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a finance team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS
- Manage revenue recognition for subscription-based services (data, voice, fiber, enterprise solutions)
- Perform revenue and billing reconciliations
- Monitor OPEX and CAPEX, including infrastructure and vendor costs
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements (VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE)
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain strong internal controls and assist with the audit
- Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are properly recorded and classified.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Compute taxes, prepare tax schedules and returns, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by analysing costs, revenues, and financial trends.
- Monitor expenses and compare budgeted figures against actual results, providing variance analysis and explanations.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and other accounts reflected in the Statement of Financial Position.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Develop, maintain, and improve accounting and record-keeping systems using current accounting software and tools.
- Ensure proper documentation, filing, and retention of financial records.
- Support process improvements and internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1).
- ICAN certification or part-qualification is an added advantage.
- Must have 4-6years’ relevant accounting experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (advanced level).
- Experience with accounting software and financial systems.
- Basic understanding of tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Basic Salary: N250,000 – N400,000 / Month
