Warehouse Manager at Polo – Cico Farms and Estate Limited|Apply Now

Polo – Cico Farms and Estate is a diversified farm complex specializing in large-scale greenhouse production of assorted pepper varieties, alongside poultry and catfish farming for local and international markets.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Omoku, Rivers

Job Summary

  • The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient management, control, and coordination of all warehouses and stores across Polo-Cico Farms’ production units.
  • This role ensures the proper receipt, storage, issuance, and accountability of raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, farm inputs, and finished goods. The Warehouse Manager will implement strong inventory controls, maintain accurate records, and support uninterrupted production and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Stores Operations:

  • Oversee all central and unit-level warehouses/stores across Polo-Cico Farms.
  • Ensure proper receipt, inspection, documentation, storage, and issuance of all materials and finished goods.
  • Enforce orderly arrangement of items for easy identification, safety, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in all stores, especially for feed, agro-inputs, and food products.

Inventory Management & Control:

  • Maintain accurate stock records for all items using stock cards and/or inventory software.
  • Conduct regular stock counts (daily spot checks, weekly/monthly cycle counts, and quarterly full stock-takes).
  • Investigate and report all stock variances, losses, damages, or expiries.
  • Set and monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Ensure proper handling of perishable, temperature-sensitive, and high-value items.

Receiving, Issuance & Documentation:

  • Verify all deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
  • Prepare and authorize Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
  • Issue materials strictly against approved requisitions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all stock movements.
  • Maintain organized filing of all warehouse records.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

  • Supervise storekeepers, warehouse assistants, and loaders.
  • Assign duties, prepare duty rosters, and monitor performance.
  • Train staff on proper warehousing practices, inventory control, and safety.
  • Enforce discipline and compliance with company policies.

Systems, Controls & Reporting:

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all store activities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and movement reports.
  • Provide stock status reports to management and production units.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Health, Safety & Security:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement fire prevention, pest control, and loss-prevention measures.
  • Control access to warehouses and safeguard company assets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of HND/BSc in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in warehouse or stores management, preferably in an agro-allied, manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple warehouses or stores.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and documentation.
