Job Title: Accountant & Administrative Officer
Location: Woji,Port Harcourt
Reports to: Head of Finance / HR & Corporate Service
Role Objective
The Accountant & Administrative Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial
records, managing payroll inputs, and providing high-level administrative support to ensure
seamless office operations. This dual-function role requires a candidate who can navigate
financial compliance while maintaining organized operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Accounting
• Maintain accurate ledgers and perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure data
integrity.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all vendor payments are
documented and verified.
• Manage cash disbursements and maintain rigorous records of all office
expenditures.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, budgets, and tax filings in
compliance with Nigerian regulations.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing organized financial
documentation.
2. Human Resources & Payroll Support
• Validate monthly payroll inputs, including deducuctions, allowances, and statutory
contributions (Pension, PAYE).
• Maintain the employee database and personnel files, ensuring high levels of
confidentiality.
• Assist with the onboarding of new hires and the coordination of staff training
schedules.
3. Corporate Services & Administration
• Oversee facility management, including office maintenance and the procurement of
office supplies.
• Act as the primary interface for vendors and service providers, tracking deliverables
and processing invoices.
• Coordinate logistics for staff travel and meetings, ensuring all operational needs are
met.
• Develop and maintain a digital filing system for all operations and SOPs.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a combined accounting and administrative role,
preferably within a project-based or engineering sector .
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, QuickBooks) and
Advanced Excel for data reporting.
•Certification : Progress toward professional certification on (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, or ACIPM)
is a distinct advantage.
• Competencies: Strong attentionon to detail, excellent written communication,and the
ability to work independently with minimal supervision
