Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat paediatric illnesses and medical conditions.
- Provide newborn assessment and neonatal care, including care for babies delivered in the hospital.
- Monitor growth and developmental milestones.
- Manage paediatric emergencies and provide timely clinical interventions.
- Educate and counsel parents on child health, nutrition, vaccination, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the hospital EMR system.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Requirements
- MBBS from a recognized institution.
- Fellowship in Paediatrics (FWACP or FMCPaed).
- Valid Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) practicing license.
- 3 – 5 years post-specialization experience is an advantage.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
