Job Title: Sales & Customer Service Representative
Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Objective
- To generate high-quality leads and support conversions for the 5kW and 10kW Solar Home System (SHS) products through proactive outbound engagement and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation:
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to promote renewable energy products and solutions.
- Qualify leads based on customer energy needs, usage patterns, and affordability.
- Schedule follow-up calls and coordinate field sales visits where required.
- Maintain accurate call logs, lead status updates, and customer records using CRM systems or MS Excel.
Technical Sales Support:
- Provide basic to intermediate technical guidance on solar systems, PPS, and related renewable energy solutions.
- Assess customer load requirements and recommend appropriate product configurations.
- Clearly explain system specifications, performance expectations, installation requirements, and maintenance guidelines in non-technical language.
- Escalate complex technical inquiries to the engineering team when necessary.
Customer Engagement & Conversion:
- Clearly communicate product benefits, warranties, and after-sales support offerings.
- Address customer objections and technical concerns to improve conversion rates.
- Follow up consistently to drive deal closure and ensure smooth handover to field sales or installation teams.
Reporting & Performance Management:
- Meet or exceed daily and monthly call, lead generation, and conversion targets.
- Provide periodic reports on call activities, lead quality, customer feedback, and market insights.
- Support management with data-driven insights on customer demand trends and frequently asked technical questions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the energy or renewable energy sector.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of Nigeria’s power sector (added advantage).
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and customer engagement skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the power sector in Nigeria, a plus.
- Female is preferred for gender balance
