Job Summary

The SME Relationship Manager (Team Lead) is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients. The ideal candidate will focus on business development, relationship management, financial advisory, and risk compliance, ensuring client satisfaction and sustainable revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the SME portfolio by acquiring new clients and deepening existing relationships.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and customized banking solutions to SME clients.
  • Understand and apply principles of business finance, banking, credit, and risk management.
  • Identify target SME segments and promote relevant banking products and services.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business clients, delivering a seamless banking experience.
  • Build strong internal and external networks to enhance client service delivery.
  • Support credit processing, including risk analysis and opportunity assessment.
  • Cross-sell bank products while maintaining focus on customer experience and risk control.
  • Analyze clients’ businesses to uncover growth opportunities and service needs.
  • Organize mini capacity-building sessions for clients to promote product adoption.
  • Utilize referrals and networks to develop long-term client relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and share insights for strategic advantage.
  • Maintain relationships with key clients and enhance their knowledge of banking services.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management protocols and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in banking (marketing and credit).
  • Proven experience in commercial banking and client relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, credit, and financial services.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • High confidence and proficiency in commercial banking operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Must reside in Port Harcour
