Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Port Harcourt. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and support the preparation of financial reports and audits. You will play a key role in ensuring the organization’s financial integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure alignment with financial reporting standards
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with tax filings, VAT reports, and other statutory obligations
- Handle payroll processing, expense tracking, and asset management
- Conduct monthly and yearly account closings and support forecasting activities
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily cash flow
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures
- Ensure secure handling and storage of financial data and documentation
- Provide financial insights for budgeting and cost control
- Keep up-to-date with accounting regulations and industry best practices
- Participate in inventory control and physical stock counts
- Mentor junior accounting staff where needed
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in accounting or finance roles
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Salary Range: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000 per month
