Description

White Soul Motors is looking for an IT Officer to provide technical support, maintain systems and networks, manage user access, protect data, and keep IT records.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Act as the main contact for end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues
• System & Network Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain servers, routers, firewalls, and local and cloud networks
• User & Access Management: Handle staff onboarding and offboarding, user accounts, email distribution lists, and software licenses
• Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Apply basic security measures, monitor for threats, and manage regular backups and disaster recovery
• Vendor & Asset Management: Keep an inventory of IT hardware and software and coordinate with contractors, internet providers, and managed service vendors
• Documentation: Keep service logs, record configuration changes, and write technical guides for staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field (or HND or equivalent practical experience)
• 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, and Windows Server)
• Understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP) and firewall configuration
• Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Active Directory, Office 365, Google Workspace, and ticketing systems
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills, with patience and the ability to work under pressure
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCITP, or CCNA are a plus
