The successful candidate will manage daily Banking Operations & Credit Officer responsibilities, including routine banking operations, customer transactions, and cash handling. They will ensure accurate records, effective cash management, and timely processing of deposits and transfers within established policies and controls while supporting deposit mobilization.

Additionally, the role covers loan monitoring and recovery, ongoing risk assessment, and maintaining compliant processes. The candidate will coordinate with related teams to review performance, safeguard funds, and uphold service quality across all banking activities.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CIBN Levels 1 & 2 is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting or banking software.
• Experience in banking operations, customer service, cash management, or credit management.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Knowledge of loan monitoring and recovery.
• High accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet operational and sales targets within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, cash payments, check clearing, and other customer transactions.
• Handle teller, clearing, customer service, and cash-related duties as required.
• Process funds transfers, standing orders, salary payments, and bulk payment instructions.
• Manage cash movements while maintaining approved limits.
• Assist with account opening and other customer account services.
• Mobilize deposits and promote banking products.
• Monitor loan accounts, overdue payments, and delinquent customers.
• Follow up with borrowers and conduct field visits when required.
• Maintain accurate records of loan repayments and outstanding balances.
• Support loan recovery and reduction of Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
• Prepare operational, cash, and credit reports.
• Ensure compliance with banking policies and internal controls.
