This Cath lab technician job in Port Harcourt is a full-time position that supports patient care teams during procedures. It governs the delivery of technical support for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures across imaging, monitoring, and related equipment. Salary: N400,000 – N500,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

Candidates applying for this Cath Lab Technician job in Port Harcourt will be expected to:

Operate and support Cath Lab imaging and haemodynamic monitoring systems
Assist during coronary angiography, PCI, pacemaker/CIED, and other interventional cardiac procedures
Prepare, test, and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment
Ensure compliance with radiation safety and quality assurance standards
Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs with Biomedical Engineering/OEM teams
Work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff during procedures
Support equipment commissioning, testing, and user training

Requirements

Degree/HND or relevant qualification in Cardiac Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Radiography/Medical Imaging, or a related field
3–5 years of dedicated Cath Lab/interventional cardiology experience
Strong experience with angiography, fluoroscopy, and haemodynamic monitoring
Experience with PCI and pacemaker/CIED procedures is highly desirable
Knowledge of radiation safety, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and QA
Ability to work effectively under pressure during critical procedures
