About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Cosmetics Intern to join our Cosmetics Division. This internship is ideal for graduates with a science background who are passionate about cosmetics manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with the Project Lead, Cosmetics, supporting quality activities across product development, testing, documentation, and manufacturing — gaining hands-on experience in the cosmetics industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance and quality control activities across cosmetics production
• Assist in reviewing raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products against quality specifications
• Support laboratory testing including pH, viscosity, texture, appearance, and other quality assessments
• Assist with product sampling, batch record reviews, and quality documentation
• Participate in stability testing and quality monitoring throughout the product lifecycle
• Support inspections of packaging materials and product labels for regulatory compliance
• Assist with supplier and contract manufacturer quality audits
• Help maintain QA/QC documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and testing reports
• Support compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and NAFDAC guidelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, and Regulatory Affairs during product development and launch
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement and support implementation of corrective actions

Requirements & Qualifications

• HND or B. SC in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Science, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific discipline
• Previous SIWES, internship, laboratory, manufacturing, or QA/QC experience is an added advantage
• Basic understanding of GMP, quality assurance principles, or NAFDAC regulations is desirable
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
