Job Summary

CME Engineering Limited is currently recruiting a Shipping & Logistics Officer to join its team in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who can coordinate the movement of goods, equipment, and materials while managing shipping documentation, customs compliance, and freight coordination.
The successful candidate will work closely with shipping company.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Goods Movement: Oversee the movement of goods, equipment, and materials to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Manage Shipping Documentation: Prepare and process shipping, import/export, and logistics documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Liaise with Key Partners: Maintain strong working relationships with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport providers.
• Monitor Shipments: Track shipments in real time, resolve delivery issues promptly, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain Records: Keep accurate and up-to-date inventory, shipping, and logistics records for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee all shipping, customs, and logistics activities comply with company policy and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• BSc. Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

• A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and freight coordination
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics/inventory management systems
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple shipments simultaneously
