JOB Summary:

Reliance Health is looking for an ambitious, result-oriented Nurse to join its clinical team and help provide excellent medical care to clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment & Care
  • Welcome and prepare patients for consultations, treatments, or procedures
  • Take detailed patient health history and record accurately
  • Carry out basic checks (temperature, blood pressure, pulse)
  • Assess urgency of care needed and inform supervising nurse/doctor
  • Assist with minor procedures as directed
  • Monitor patients post-procedure and report concernsSample Collection & Handling
  • Collect blood/other samples using correct techniques
  • Label samples clearly with patient and test details
  • Adjust methods for different patient groups (children, elderly)
  • Package and store samples properly
  • Deliver samples promptly to the lab
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Health Education & Counselling
  • Explain treatment plans and next steps clearly
  • Answer patient questions about care/collection process
  • Educate on nutrition, exercise, and stress management
  • Offer supportive, non-judgmental counselling
  • Documentation & Medical Records
  • Accurately record assessments and procedures in EHR
  • Maintain data confidentiality
  • Generate reports for clinical reviews/meetings
  • Patient Advocacy & Safety
  • Treat patients with respect and professionalism
  • Help patients understand rights and treatment plans
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures
  • Ensure tools and equipment are ready and safe
  • Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Work with doctors, lab staff, and pharmacists
  • Communicate clearly to prevent errors/delays
  • Participate in daily team meetings
  • Continuous Learning
  • Attend training sessions
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement
  • Support a culture of safety and learning

Requirements

  • OND or Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with valid license
  • 0–1 years’ experience
  • Must reside within 10km of the clinic
