They work together on onshore and offshore assets in the Niger Delta. Chevron Nigeria Limited also has a stake in deepwater projects. This includes the Agbami Field which’s one of the largest deepwater finds in the country.

Job Summary

Chevron Nigeria Limited is looking for a Physician. The Physician will deliver care of a high standard to Chevron Nigeria Limited staff and their dependants. The Physician will also support the hospital function. This includes emergency response and preventive health work and occupational medicine collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• The Physician will provide inpatient care. This includes emergency response and on-call cover when required.
• The Physician will drive health efforts. This includes disease prevention programmes and wellness campaigns.
• The Physician will support training activities and continuing medical education for the team.
• The Physician will bring clinical input where relevant. This includes medicine and paediatrics and surgery and family medicine and occupational health.
• The Physician will contribute to the daily running of hospital services. The Physician will take on duties assigned by medical leadership.
• The Physician will partner with the Occupational Health Manager. They will deliver occupational health programmes.

Requirements

• The Physician should have an MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification.
• The Physician should have a Fellowship in a specialty. This includes the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College or the West African College or equivalent.
• The Physician should have between 5 and 15 years of experience following fellowship.
• The Physician should have a background in medicine.
• It is an added advantage if the Physician has:
• Active BLS and ACLS and ATLS certification.
• Experience managing emergencies.
• Familiarity with healthcare practice in a recognised institution.
• The Physician should be comfortable working with information systems.
• The Physician should have some exposure to hospital or health systems management.
• The Physician should have leadership and communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
