Role Overview The Sales Manager will serve as a key point of contact for clients, utilizing technical knowledge and sales expertise to provide solutions that meet customer needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, supporting business growth, and ensuring excellent service delivery across the organization’s products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new clients who may benefit from the company’s products and services while maximizing opportunities within designated regions.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by understanding and interpreting their requirements.
  • Familiarize and maintain knowledge of all OEM products and services offered by the company.
  • Persuade clients on products and services that best meet their needs in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery.
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements for clients and the organization.
  • Prepare quotations and manage client accounts effectively.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product training, and after-sales support services.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to clients.
  • Meet sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
  • Support marketing activities by participating in trade shows, conferences, and related events.
  • Prepare reports, maintain customer records, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and other technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Assist with the design of custom-made products and support internal sales team training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • MBA is an added advantage.
  • Relevant professional certification in sales or a technical field is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years proven experience in sales, business development, or related roles.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and ability to explain complex concepts effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong customer relationship management and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities and analyze industry trends.
  • Experience preparing technical proposals and commercial bids.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet sales targets.
